Map Editor 5 is a level design tool for JumpFall.io 1. CONTROLS The buttons of the panel with platforms allow you to select an object for installation in space. Alternative selection of elements is possible by using hotkeys 1, 2, 3, 4... LMB – Select and place object RMB – Delete the object pointed to by the crosshair MMB – Allocate a platform for changing properties Scrolling – Zoom In/Out W – Forward S – Back A – Left D – Right SHIFT – Up CTRL – Down M – Magnet mod On/Off 2. MAP CREATION Tokens These are the keys needed to bind the developed maps to them. Save all symbols of your token. It allows you to access previously created levels in case of a device change. Don't tell or transfer the received token to anyone. It will not be restored in case of loss. Beware of scammers! JumpFall.io administration will not try to find out your token and will never ask you to send it. Open map Allows you to get a list of projects linked to an activated token. When you select one of the names, the map will be loaded into the editor. Save map Allows you to create or update a level on the used token. The minimum save requirement is 30 platforms in a development space. Start demo (Early Version) It is an alternative method of placing blocks. Map moderation An application for map verification by the administration to assign CUSTOM status. This is a necessary action to study requests for activation of new maps. Approval is possible if all the requirements for the created projects are met. After that, the CUSTOM status is assigned. Successful moderation check and CUSTOM status allows all players to get into this map. Will be available in the Custom Games with the possibility of public access to the game. Minimum requirements: — Spawn place (blue blocks) — Three save points (yellow blocks) — Map completion object (gold cup) — At least 500 different platforms Exit Close the editor and go to the main menu. Unsaved data will be lost. 3. PLATFORMS Magnet mod – allows you to be attracted to already installed platforms. New elements are joined by the sides and allow you to build more thoughtful and solid structures. None – Removes the selected transparent block. Needed to improve view. Box – Standard block with the possibility of customizing the look. There are several materials to choose from. Ice – An ice block with a slippery top side. The slip coefficient can be changed in the block properties in the range from 0.5 to 2.0 Green – Leaf block. Can serve to limit the view. For example, when creating traps :) Lava – A fire block that immediately bursts the player upon contact. Save – An active action block that serves as a respawn location for players in case of failure. Restriction of the order of activation of the save can be specified by the index in the properties of the block. The player will not be able to activate a save block with a lower index if they previously activated a higher one. Index value 0 is an exception to the rule – this save block can be activated at any time. Title – An active platform that has a countdown to its temporary destruction. It is possible to specify the seconds until the moment of destruction in the properties. Spawn — A safe zone on maps that serves as the player's starting point. Gold Cup – The main goal. The first player to reach is given the status of the winner and starts the process of completing the round. Banner – Visual block with the banner of the game JumpFall.io. It has no physical interaction and serves as an ordinary decoration. Trampoline – Platform that throws the player up. In the properties, you can specify a toss factor from 0.5 to 2.0. Portal – Allows you to move players to an area to another portal. The player will be moved to another random portal with the same indexes specified in the object's properties. If the portal has a unique index, then the move will not occur. 4. MAP SETTINGS Map name – the level designation that is needed to identify the map in the list of created ones. Author – creator nickname Description – currently not displayed. Reserved for future updates. X, Y, Z – directions in space that form the working area of the map. Blocks cannot be placed outside these values. Map background – image for the virtual walls of the editor and the release version of the levels. 5. BLOCK PROPERTIES There is a window with object properties in the upper right corner. The first line indicates the total number of installed platforms. Below is the number of the selected object. Next are the mutable position properties. Also specifying of additional parameters (if available) of the currently selected block. 6. MAP MODERATION When developing a map in the editor and bringing it to a stable playable state, it is possible to provide it to other players to run. The map will be publicly available when searching in the Custom Games in this case. To do this, you need to go through the moderation process: open the required map in the editor and click the Moderate map button on the control panel. A moderation request will be created, if the map meets the minimum development requirements. After consideration of the application, a verdict will be issued on accepting or not accepting the map in the list of publicly available. The reviewer can leave a comment about the decision in both cases. Another moderation request will be required, if a map with CUSTOM status has been changed.
